About

Welcome to our ‘Home…and The Range’!

I am a country at heart gal living with my country at heart hubby (Poppy) in our new home in the South. We are…South by Southwest!

I am looking forward to expanding my homestyle recipe file with flavors of the region,  some Kentucky favorites and blending the flavors of the South and the Southwest.

This is a journal of our  life experiences and some of my homey passions. I love baking, cooking, home crafts, crochet, photgraphing moments with family, nature…and more.

Please join me…for some inspiration that I find in this network of sharing, some of our life adventures of ‘Home’ (family) and ‘The Range’ (homestyle cooking) and maybe some humor through it all!

Friends and Family gather here…

I  hope you’ll visit for a while and come back again soon!

Happy  Trails to you…

Victoria

  1. Thank you for the lovely birthday wishes on my blog Victoria! I love the collection of recipes and fun craft projects on your blog. I’ve actually been wanting to try out pepper jelly for a while and I’m bookmarking your recipe to give it a whirl!

Everyone that has tried the pepper jelly (and most recently the red pepper jelly) LOVES it! It is quite easy and very delicious! If you do make it…stop back by and let me know how you and your family like it! ~Blessings!

It is beautiful here and I enjoy the rain…just not the thunderstorms and tornadoes! I look forward to navigating through your blog also. ~ Blessings to you!

      1. Yes…poppy seeds may not be a common thing to have in the pantry. I don’t use them very often but I’m looking forward to making these again and some lemon poppyseed cake too. When you do get a chance to make them…let me know what you think. 🙂 Blessings!

    1. Thank you for your comment…which I believe would be in response to the Snow and Yoberry post. I think living on an Island would be pretty spectacular and you must feel very blessed to be there….even without snow. 🙂

  4. I love your blog name (very clever!). Like you, I also am a country-at-heart gal, however, because of jobs, I’ve always lived in the city. So, I go to the country whenever as as often as I can! Visiting your blog feels a little like a visit to the country. 🙂 Thanks for visiting my blog and so, leading me to yours.

    1. Thank you! I am glad that you found a little road trip to the Country through my blog :). When I thought I was a City Girl…and had to live there…my heart wasn’t in it. I’ll stop by…when I’m in the City! 🙂 Have a blessed day!

    1. Thank you! I do want to try out your pasta recipe…looks great! I love cooking…and homemade pasta. My Father tells me about his Mother making her homemade noodles. The process then seemed to be a lot more tedious! I will definitely be getting me an attachment for my KitchenAid! Thanks for stopping in!
